Brief History

Bridestowe Lavender Estate situated less than an hour’s drive from Launceston in Tasmania’s North East, is a historical landmark andworking farm renowned for producing the world’s finest lavender oil since 1922. 

The farm covers 107 hectares and features manicured fields of lavender, beautiful gardens, a café and gift shop. As the summer months arrive, the contoured lavender fields will flourish into full bloom, attracting visitors from all over the world to see the magnificent purple vista of Australia’s largest lavender farm.

Visitors are invited to freely wander through the Estate to see the seasons of Tasmania beautifully reflected in the ornamental gardens and native bushland set against the striking backdrop of Mount Arthur. Guided tours run regularly during the peak season, offering fascinating insights into Bridestowe’s colourful history, and self-guided tour sheets are available for those who prefer to wander at their own pace.
